Hello and welcome to Rustic Living! Wow. I'm so excited to say that! I love finding ordinary furniture and turning it into something special and unique. So the opportunity to share that journey is just. plain. awesome. This blog is about living simply and enjoying the little things in life. I'm looking forward to blogging my refurnishing projects and all that comes with it, especially the learning process (like paint stripper burns when in contact with skin)! Also, I'm in the process of giving our humble abode a little makeover and can't wait to share some before and after pics. My super-awesome, smokin' hot husband and I are renting a duplex, so it's been really fun and challenging to give our place a makeover without putting much money into it.  

It is amazing how a coat of paint can dramatically affect the look of a piece of furniture. Maybe you have a piece that is outdated, worn out, or just doesn’t fit your décor. It's incredibly tempting for me to keep every single project I refurnish but not only do I not have the room for all that, but my husband would probably throw a fit.....understandably so. I'll keep it updated as often as I can with rustic chic items such as dressers, chairs, coffee tables, desks, armoires, benches, and whatever else I can find to slap some paint on!
