Summer Lake...

This adorable table was given to me by my good friend Kelly Antonczak : ) I was in the mood to create something that would have a "Cape Cod" kind of feel. I love how soft blues and whites always feel fresh and soothing.

The blue I used is called “Summer Lake” in a satin finish...

Here is the after! I used stencil to give it a more “shabby” feel. The table has a leaf so I made sure to position the stencils so it looks good seating a table of 4 or 8.

I can just picture my girlfriends and I chatting it up over coffee while sitting at this adorable table.

If your interested in bringing this shabby chic table into your home you can find it for sale at the Rustic Store.

Going shabby white....

This piece was love at first sight. Crazy orange color and all! I got it at an auction and practically had to fight someone for it, but I was the lucky one to go home with it...

Here is my first encounter with paint stripper. It’s wicked stuff! And to my discovery there was a horribly ugly avocado green underneath all that orange. In total I spent about 4 hours stripping all that paint off. It was tedious, but nice to learn all the how-to’s of paint stripping.

Here is the after. This is definitely my favorite piece so far : ) I really like using a shabby white color because it works with everything and is always classic.

I LOVE changing out hardware on furniture. It’s a great inexpensive way to give something a whole new look! I get most of my knobs from Hobby Lobby.
