Cape Cod Cottage

I hope you all had a great weekend! It was a very relaxing one for Michael and I. We had a peaceful walk with our puppies in the Boise foothills, organized our hallway closet (how did it get so bad?!), did some thrift store treasure hunting, and had a date night that consisted of bowls of creamy Italian food and Barnes & Noble.

After all that relaxing, I'm MORE than ready to tackle my next project. I feel like I've had more than one "light bulb" moments lately regarding my furniture projects. I've been refurnishing less than a year and feel like this is exactly what I need to grow my skills! So with that being said, I noticed I've been really attracted to the "Cape Cod Cottage" look.

Beautiful and refreshing don't you think? I definitely think so, and that is my inspiration going into my next project.

It's not a huge piece, but I'm looking forward to transforming this little chair and feeling as refreshed as a summers day (even if we are in the middle of winter) at a Cape Cod cottage. Be sure to check back later this week!

Since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.—Colossians 1:9 (NIV)

  1. Oh yes, I'm totally obsessed with cottage style! I'd love to decorate my whole house like this, but it makes me long for the beach and, well, the closest thing I have is a large reservoir. I can't wait to see what you do with the new chair! :)
