Covers please?

My dresser transformation is coming along just dandy, really excited to share some "after" pictures soon! I was blog browsing yesterday and had to share something I came across from Danielle over at Taking Notes...Coast to Coast. Danielle is the proud parent of a golden retriever named Huckleberry (obviously this had me hooked right away). She blogs about her many adventures raising a puppy and she shared some "Dog Rules" that I can totally relate to...

This made me laugh out loud.

Other than rule #1 (what's the point of having a dog if you're just going to leave it outside?!) this is pretty much exactly how it went for Michael and I and our puppies.

I have proof.

Yup. I'm sure most dog owners can relate to this. For those of you that don't have a dog but plan to someday and SWEAR you will NOT let your dog in the bed.....good luck. If you find a way to say no to that sweet, innocent, adorable, unconditional loving face...please tell me your secret. In the mean time, my husband and I are going to share what's left of the covers.

And you know what? We don't really mind.

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.—Hebrews 1:3 (NIV)

  1. Snuggling with your dog is the best thing ever! We also have two big dogs (Rottie & Rottie/Mastiff mix) and couldn't imagine not letting them on the bed.

When the Rottie was a puppy I made her sleep curled under my arm so I'd know if she got up in the night(i.e. because she had to pee), and now it's the only place she'll sleep. I set my alarm 10 minutes early just to have extra snuggle time with her in the morning.

Oh, I was only supposed to comment on your post? I thought you needed to know all about my life! (Too much caffeine makes me chatty) ;-)

  4. Hahaha! My hubby and I had a black lab (she was 18 when she passed - he had her since she was 5 weeks), she had pretty much full reign on the house. When we got married, I thought I was going to come in and train that dog to stop getting on the bed. Yeah, right! She trained me to do what she wanted. Haha

  7. Too cute Ash! Darrell and I actually don't even let our dogs in our bedroom, let alone on the bed or furniture! Our thought: If we cave in, they will know we are caveable (word?)
