My Typical Day in Photos

I thought it would be fun to share with you what a typical day for me is like!
Shortly after 5am, the alarm goes off and with a smile on my face I get out of bed. I'm smiling because I manage a coffee shop in downtown Boise and look forward to it every day!

I've been a barista for over 7 years and it just doesn't feel right to call it work...it's way too much fun.

cappuccino. mocha. latte. breve. americano.
you name it. I would love to make it for you.

After all that "stress", I close up shop and head home. The coffee shop closes at 11am. Yes, it is an awesome schedule. Time to take the pups out for their daily stroll in beautiful Idaho. We've had an abnormally warm and dry winter. Normally these foothills are dusted with snow.

Whiskey and Banjo don't mind the lack of snow. This is their playground!

Time to head back home and make some lunch! A caprese salad is my favorite kind of lunch, light and healthy.

Whiskey and Banjo are worn out and lost in puppy dream land.

I take about an hour to work on my blog, check emails, make meal plans, pay bills, and play on Pinterest.
Here is my office...

Alright, time to head to my second job. Whiskey and I have got some furniture to transform.

After a few hours of sanding, painting, distressing, and staining its time to call it a day! I have a couple hours to get in a workout, clean house, and get dinner started before the hubby gets home. We've started eating the "Mediterranean" way... which means lots of fish, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, yogurt, cheese, and olive oil.

On the menu tonight was Tilapia Picatta with Roasted Asparagus. YUM.

Now is my favorite part of the day. The part where we do NOTHING. Sometimes we redbox a movie or catch up on some reading. Whatever we decide, you can bet there will be cups of tea, fuzzy socks, and lots of puppy snuggling.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

I wish I woke up at 5am perky and happy! haha I am not a morning person, I just groan and grumble and pretty much get ready while in zombie mode. Huckleberry makes my morning routine a little better though with his kisses and playful ways :)

  10. Okay, this whole post made me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. I love the pics of the foothills. Arizona has some areas that remind me of that. I thought I was really cool because I got a Keurig for Christmas....you're the real deal!!!!
