Taking Notes . . . Coast to Coast

I'm so excited to introduce you to Danielle from Taking Notes. . .Coast to Coast. I have really enjoyed getting to know her. She's a beautiful, creative, funny gal who just got engaged! I look forward to all of Danielle's posts, but I truly enjoy when she shares her wedding plans! She is also the proud parent of a crazy adorable golden retriever named Huckleberry, which makes us puppy soul mates. No really it does, my pup Whiskey wholeheartedly agrees.

Here is little Q&A with Danielle, I just know you're going to love her!

How did you get started blogging?

I started blogging about 2 months after I moved to the West Coast. I’m originally from West Virginia, but moved to Seattle last July to be with my now fiancé {Ahh, I love saying that J}!  Shortly after I moved, I discovered that repeating the same story over and over again to family and friends on the phone gets really old, really quick! I decided to start blogging so everyone would have an easy way to stay up to date with my life! It’s such a fun way to share stories, photos, and happy moments with all those that I love who happen to be far away.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I wake up at 5:30 every day to start the grueling process of “putting on my face” for work. This consists of getting not only me, but also my 5-month-old puppy ready for the day.  He’s quite the handful in the mornings, so in between running around making sure he’s not destroying my home I try to gulp down coffee and run the hair straighter through my hair. I get to the office at 8:00 where I spend my day writing/editing proposals and such until 5:00 comes around and I race home! The best part is my evenings when I have dinner with my man and then cuddle with him and the pup in front of the fire watching Parks and Rec or Gold Rush! 

You’re engaged! What are you most looking forward to regarding the wedding?

I can’t wait for that moment when the barn doors swing open and I see my love standing there. I feel butterflies just thinking about walking down the aisle towards him to start the beginning of our lives together! I have a feeling that that moment will be the best yet of my life!

Most looking forward to being married?

Having someone constantly around who can start a fire, kill spiders, and reach all the pots and pans on the top shelf! I kid you not. That will be amazing. But on a more serious note, I’m looking forward to falling asleep each night and waking up every morning right beside the man who I love so much! He’s changed my life and is truly the greatest blessing I’ve ever received! I can’t wait to be his wife!

 

Huckleberry is so cute! What do you love most about raising a pup?

I love his displays of unconditional love and absolute trust in me. He has become my little shadow. Where ever I go I can hear his four feet trotting closely behind. He is a great companion and never ceases to make me laugh with his silly antics! I never knew it was possible to love a pup so much!
