It's about time I share a thrift store treasure!
I had seen this coat rack (just $15) at a local thrift store for a few weeks but could never come up with an idea for it. Until one weekend when I took my hubby with me. It took him 3.7 seconds before blurting out his genius idea, "a pot rack!"
High five husband.
We've always wanted a creative pot rack but figured we would have to wait until we bought a house because our kitchen is pretty small. This is perfect for us and the little duplex we currently rent.
I'm sure there is something we could do with the front rod. Perhaps hang kitchen towels? My mom came up with idea of "S-hooks" and you could hang mugs or more pots and pans.
Any other ideas?
LOVE my Paula Deen pots and pans.
I love this!
I especially love seeing my hubby get creative with thrift store finds. He was feeling quite proud of himself tell you what!
See who I'm linking up with HERE!
But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, ....

What a fantastic idea!!! This looks great, and I love the mason jars and colorful bowls on the shelf!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I like the S hook idea, you could either use it to hold some of your go-to utensils, or you could find some vintage utensils that would be super cute. {I'm picturing a whisk, a hand-crank beater, and maybe a potato masher in my head}.
ReplyDeleteI love the PD pans too! Have a great day :)
One day I will have a pot rack. It seems that what ever home/apt I've ever been in I'd never had the space for one. This is a very creative way to use this coat rack. I maybe looking at things a little differently when I go to my next garage sale.
ReplyDeleteHow clever! I totally thought towels would go perfectly on that rod when I saw the first pic... and then you said it :) Also the S hook idea is pretty cool too {I know target has lots of cute S shaped shower curtain hooks that would looks cool with this}. Great find either way!
