Cowboy Boots & Prayers

Jason Aldean sings, "from her cowboy boots to her down home roots she's country, from the songs she plays to the prayers she prays, that's the way she was born and raised, she ain't afraid to stay, country."

A couple things stick out for me from that song.

One . . . I love my boots. I'm always reminded of that this time of year when I can pair this country trademark with a comfy sun dress.

Two . . . Prayers. Michael and I put in our first offer on a house a couple days ago. This was very exciting and terrifying for us. So terrifying I had a knot in my stomach for most of the weekend. I prayed that if this house was not part of the plan God had for Michael and I then to please close the door on it. I had complete trust in Him. Less than 24 hours later I found out from our realtor that the seller had gone with another offer, an offer LOWER than ours. Seriously. I didn't feel sad for even a second. I felt so at peace, knowing that God is looking after us and blessing the path to our future home.

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

  1. Hey beautiful dress:)...love the boots! And I am praying for you and your husband that God brings the right home into your path, I completely understand my husband and I were outbid twice, but can't say underbid. Stay strong! You will get even more than you desired by following Him:)
