Since I've started working a lot more on my handmade pillows I've managed to create quite the mess on our kitchen table. I didn't really have a place to do all my sewing so it was where the needles, thread, scraps, and mountain of burlap started to collect. It was beginning to drive the hubby and I nuts! Since our place is pretty small I need to use every little inch wisely and make it functional. I have to work with what I've got. So I decided to transform our guest bedroom closet into my workstation . . .
Before:
After:
Now I have a place to organize my finished rustic chic pillows:
I converted a shoe organizer into a place for displaying my fabrics:
I'm using the closet rod for hanging adorable laces and other trims:
This piece has been sitting in the back of my truck for months! I don't even know where it came from. I decided it would work perfect for holding my sewing accessories:
Mason jars hold twine, hot glue gun sticks, and fabric remnants:
This hanging frame adds a personal touch and holds the items I'll constantly be needing:
I'm so much more productive and happier working here. So long kitchen table!
See who I'm linking up with HERE!
From him [Christ] the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.—Ephesians 4:16 (NIV)

I want this guest room closet/work station! Please come decorate my house!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! All our work take place on the kitchen table. Makes it hard to find a place to eat sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWow! I am really impressed. What a great little work area and I want every single one of those pillows ;)

ReplyDeleteOk, that's it. When I move into my new home I'm having you come over to get me started with organizing. This looks so nice!
ReplyDeleteYour craft closet is one of the most gorgeous ones I've seen! {I love how you used the shoe organizer for your fabric stash, too!} And all of your beautiful pillows stored above your table add such a lovely touch. :) One of the things I love about your closet makeover is that it shows how to make a closet an amazing craft space in an affordable way...I have been DYING to convert one of our bedroom closets into a craft area for years...still working on my husband on this one, but you can bet I will be showing him this post! It can't hurt! ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a beautiful day! :)
Blessings,
Jenni
