A New Project

I have a confession. Between managing a coffee shop, house hunting/possibly building a house, filling pillow orders, designing new items for my shop, painting furniture, and keeping up with housework I'm having a hard time learning how to juggle it all (all you Moms out there are probably laughing at me, and you have full right too)! I just need to work out those kinks on the good ol' time management skills.

Even though busy is good, I always look forward to furniture projects because it's a bit of an escape for me. Therapeutic I'd say. I'm so excited to get started on this one, say hello to this adorable secretary desk. I picked her up from an auction a couple weeks ago and have been dying to begin the transformation.

She definitely needs some work!

Here is a little something that caught me eye as I was web-browsing. The beautiful color and distressed details are my inspiration going into this project.

My goal is to have it completed by this weekend (how's that for time-management!)
Looking forward to sharing it with all of you!

Happy Wednesday!

Be very careful, then, how you live -- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.—Ephesians 5:15 (NIV)

  1. My mother had an exact piece while I was growing up.. I wonder what ever happened to it. Probably sold for $5 at a garage sale. :) Look forward to seeing your final result!

  3. Awe i love it!!! looks pretty right now can't wait to see what you do with it. Good luck with your deadline to get it done..I always end up having something else happen that stops my progress. And I can totally relate to your crazy schedule and I don't even have a store to keep up on but this month has just been crazy busy and I have a feeling June and July are going to be the same. Luckily in June I get to take a week on the beach and relax.
