On this fantastic Friday I've got some talented, beautiful ladies to introduce you to!
AquaSeventy6
Hi! I'm Yvette over at AquaSeventy6
and I'm so happy that Ashley has
asked me to share a little about my blog and shop to her lovely readers!
I've been a freelance writer and blogger since 2008. In the fall of
2010, as I was planning my mother-in-law's 60th birthday party, I
started scouring the blogosphere in search of fun DIY ideas to
incorporate into her shindig. By the time the party rolled around, I
had become reacquainted with my sewing machine and BFFs with the local
thrift stores.
On the AquaSeventy6 blog, you will find some DIY projects, furniture
revamps, my favorite fashions, and previews of new items in my shop. In
the AquaSeventy6 Etsy shop, you can purchase accessories from jewelry
to cosmetics bags to tablet cases. For the most up-to-date information
on anything AquaSeventy6 related, you can "like" my Facebook page.
You are so talented! What inspires you to stay creative?
My clients and supportive friends inspire me every day. Every time I
sell an item, it inspires me to create something new. Every time one of
my friends "likes" a photo or leaves a sweet comment, it gives me the
confidence to be more creative.
Summer is upon us! What are you most looking forward to this season?
More than anything I am looking forward to spending quality time with my
kids. At 9 and 12, they are TRULY my best friends. They make me laugh
so often and love me so unconditionally that I can't think of a better
time than hanging out with them.
What's something about you that we don't know?
I'm painfully shy (which is probably why I love to write.) It's not
that I don't love social interaction, I just have a hard time making the
first move. I literally have to coax myself to call the cable company.
Over the years, I have purposely put myself in situations in which I am
the center of attention (karaoke, emceeing an event, etc) in order to
overcome my fears. Running my own business has helped me a lot, as
well, but I still have to give myself that extra push to break the ice.

Vintage Grey
Vintage Grey
Hello! My name is
Heather from vintage grey! I am a
vintage girl at heart, and I’m always on the hunt for sweet treasures that I
can bring back to life in my home, and in my handmade creations. I love to
quilt, crochet, cross-stitch, embroider, and create pure crafty goodness. I am
a Christian who loves Jesus, and each day I am seeking His will for my life.
This year the Lord has lead me on a new venture of taking my passions and starting
my blog, and opening up an Etsy shoppe. Both have been such blessings! My
little shoppe specializes in vintagey tea towels, and other lovely goodies to
give your home the handmade, vintage touch. Each day brings learning,
creating, hunting for treasures, and following where Lord leads me.
I love the vintage vibe! How did you get started creating your beautiful items?
Well, this past year the Lord has lead me on a new journey in life, and I
was able to spend more time pursing my creative side. I have a special
place in my heart for vintage linens and fabrics, and always wanted to
start a handmade business where I could give them a new life. So, I
started creating my vintage tea towels, and other sweet vintage goodies
to add a handmade, vintage touch to the home.
Summer is upon us! What are you most looking forward to this season?
I just love the summer time! I am looking forward to being outdoors,
drinking a lot of iced tea, sewing, hunting for treasures, and taking a
small road trip with my sweet husband.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I'm daily inspired by the past, and in all the vintage treasures I come
across. I love working with vintage tablecloths, feed sacks, quilts, and
fabrics. I'm always amazed at the talent of women who quilted,
crocheted, and embroidered such beautiful creations. I hope and aspire
to be able to carry these traditions on through my handmade goods and
cherishing them in my home.
