Um, summer . . . could you slow down? It's already mid-July and there's still so much I want to do with you!
That's definitely how I've been feeling lately. Sometimes I wonder if June happened at all! I have been able to enjoy many warm summer nights, mason jars full of sweet tea, and a camping trip in beautiful Idaho, but I've got a summer bucket list with a whole lot more than that on it! Here's what I'm looking forward to hopefully doing with the remainder of my summer . . .
Go to the Drive - in
Um, how cute is this picture?! I love going to a drive-in to begin with, but this pic made me put it on the top of my summer bucket list.
Stay at a Bed & Breakfast
Okay, so I would have to travel to Savannah, Georgia to stay at this B&B, but there are plenty of adorable local ones just beckoning me to come relax a bit.
Camping!
Michael and I have made a trip to beautiful Stanley, Idaho for a night around a campfire but come on, just one camping trip would be pathetic. I need more toasted marshmallows! Book reading by the lake! Hot cocoa around a fire!
Pack a picnic
I've already got the meal planned. This Cucumber, Tomato, Mint Salad from Paula Deen, this Honey Beer Bread from Gimme Some Oven, assorted cheeses, and a couple Izze Sparkling Grapefruit soda's. Sounds delicious right!?Float the Boise River
This is a popular thing to do around these parts and Michael and I live just 5 minutes away from the beautiful river. So no excuses! We're doing this soon!
Trek Earth
Participate in a charity dog walk
Whiskey and I participated in quite a few charity walks last summer that supported local animal shelters. "See Spot Walk" and "Pooch Party Stroll and Splash" were our favorites.
Dog lovers unite!

Go on a roadtrip
I don't care if it's a 2 hour or 20 hour roadtrip. I just want to rest my bare feet on the dashboard and listen to George Strait with my hubby by my side.

Sew my first summer dress (country inspired of course!)
Since I was little this country girl dreamed about designing and creating her own summer dress. I can't wait to get started!
So much to do!
What fun plans do you still have for the summer?
For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.—Revelation 7:17 (NIV)
