Friday Highlights

This week I started a new furniture project! I picked up this buffet on wheels from an auction. After a few swipes of paint I was instantly reminded how much I love turning trash into treasure. Can't wait to share some pics when she's all done!

I discovered Costco carries some of the best coffee that has ever graced these tastebuds. Seriously, Colombian coffee in a can as big as my head has become my new favorite morning companion.

The Olympics are over. Sad. New seasons of my favorite fall shows are about to start. Awesome!

Why is it that sometimes the best thing to have for dinner is breakfast? I plate full of pancakes and bacon just hits the spot at 7pm on a Thursday don't ya think?

The hubby got me the complete I Love Lucy DVD set for my birthday. Which means Lucy's shenanigans have been heard throughout my house all week. Lucy, you've got some explainin' to do!

My super gorgeous and talented sister-in-love Audrey and I met over iced chais and tea to discuss some dreams that are not only coming to life, but coming soon to Rustic Living. Ooooohh boy!

It's Friday, and that always counts as a highlight!
Have a great weekend!

When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him [Jesus], and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."—Matthew 8:16-17 (NIV)

  1. Hi,
I am really excited to see what you do to that dark wood furniture. Dark wood can be picked up so cheaply over here and a lot of the time I look at it and think what would I do though!? So hopefully I get some good ideas!!! I saw one tutorial of bedroom furniture and that worked really well so good luck!!
