It will be 3 years on June 10th!
How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
It was game night with our bible study, we met on Hole 3 at a miniature golf course! : ) Our bible study was held every Tuesday, needless to say I spent all week looking forward to that day. Michael was also a wide receiver for the Boise State Broncos, I spent the majority of each football game watching him instead of the field, wondering if he even knew I existed! We spent 6 months getting to know each other and developing a friendship before going on our first date. By then I already knew that I would marry him!
Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
Darlin'. Babe. Hun. Sugar.
Where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
We were married at Michael’s parents property in the country, it was absolutely beautiful. My Grandpa married us! There were about 175 people.
Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
1. He has a gift with people I have never witnessed before. He has such a big heart and is full of compassion.
2. Michael is a sensitive soul and has no problem showing it! I love the moments when he will shed a tear from being overcome with happiness and gratefulness.
3. I love how he always sees the good in the people. Everyday I try to be more like him in how I interact with people and see the world. Michael is always a light in the darkness.
Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Michael and I are such homebodies. Sometimes we wonder if we take it to the extreme! So our favorite kind of date is to pick up a Redbox and make dinner or pick up pizza. Just us and our puppies!
Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
We would either go on an African Safari or eat endless bowls of spaghetti in the Italy countryside!
Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
We saw the play "Pride & Prejudice" this last Friday and loved it! So we plan to watch the Keira Knightley version and make homemade pizza.
Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Always be appreciative of one another. Tell each other every day that you love them and what makes you grateful for them, from the little things to the big things. From "thank you for transferring the laundry from the washer to the dryer" to "I appreciate and respect how hard you work to provide a loving home for your family".
And keep laughing!
Show us a picture of what love means to you.
Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.—Joel 2:13 (NIV)
